Själv så tror jag på Drops FL13 i år, Micha vann nyligen på den och shapen verkar helt ok, se bild ovan. Mer info om brädan finns på http://www.drops.net

Men det finns många fler potentiella vinnare, RRD Beast, Mistral RTX, Protech Formula, Seatrend 100, Fanatic Falcon 90, AHD Formula, Starboard 155, 175, BIC FV1-2, F2 T-rex. I år finns det ju hur många bra brädor som helst. Bara att dra lott, alla funkar säkert. Finns säkert ännu fler modeller.

The board work well use deboichet 66cm hard or 70 medium hard. The fin standard with it maybe is a little soft for heavy guy. Faster reaching and downwind than sb175. More easy to sail than FL12 when is very overpower. Also is very light 1kg maybe less than SB. Maybe is more fun sailing than other big board.

FL13 is supplied with 63 or 66 cm fin,
deep tuttle box.

I’ve sailed the fl13 a fair bit. I’m the Drops and Starboard distributor
here so I’m biased, thats why I am emailng to you but not posting on the
forum. This is my impression of the board:

construction is very light and stiff
early planing as expected is excellent
controls suprisingly
upwind with the standard 66.5 fin is good but the board can easily handle a
70cm deboichet
the board turns well for its huge width

One thing is the board feels very efficent. I use a 9.9 Sailworks XT2 race
sail on it and the board generates alot of planing so sail trim and rigging
is very critical to get the most performance.

Its a more lively rocker than most other large boards and fun to sail. The
board is very lightweight for its volume so it does need to be taken care
of. The Starboard formula is stronger than the drops in terms of
construction. I have not yet tested the Starboard Formula 175 but will be
doing so soon. It will be interesting to compare them!

i dont think the fl13 is as high as the quoted volume, it feels more like
140? litre or so to me. most people who have tested the board are suprised
it feels ”small” compared to the look of the board.
