Conditions in Stockholm during summer?
Hi all, (please excuse my using English, still getting used to writing Swedish)
I will be coming to Sweden in a year or so to live and am wondering what gear to bring/buy.
What conditions dominate in Stockholm and Önsköldsvik?
I am a slalom sailor (flat water) and my girlfriend is now sailing ’hooked in’ and planing on the Go by StarBoard (I think).
What rig (board/sail combination) do you reckon will get us both on the water most often? I am used to riding 165cm slalom and wave boards but guess that these may not get me out on the water that often.
What do you all reckon? Note that I can’t forget about my girlfriend either 😉

The conditions in Stockholm are not to windy, so equipment that easily planes is essential. You will find quite big waves south of Stockholm(Torö) and north of S(Väddö), everywhere else flat water conditions. So depending on your weight and skills, for example, a widestyle board and a 9.0m sail and a smaller board around 100 litres with a ~7m sail and ~5.5m sail could be suitable.
I guess this forum is the most well known among the wsurfing forums in Sweden, and most Stockholm based wsurfers use it.
