Jason Stone joins Gaastra Team
Gaastra Sails announced today that Jason Stone has signed with Gaastra for
2001. Jason, a long time affiliate of Neil Pryde, had this to say:Things have been great for the past couple of years. NP really helped me
get started, but I just felt it was time to move. Gaastra was an obvious
choice for me. I was really looking for a good product, and a supportive
team, and Gaastra has both. ”The Team” has really been helpful during this
transition period. It¹s nice to be able to communicate easily with a
company.I also like the fact that I can talk directly with the head sail designer,
Barry Spanier, which isn¹t always possible with some companies. It makes it
easier to test and fine-tune the products, which is better for everyone in
the long run.They¹re definitely on a much harder training program than I¹m used to, but I
should be able to catch up quick. I think this is a great opportunity for
me to really show people what I can do. Gaastra has given me a very open
contract schedule, which allows me to pursue the type of sailing I like.
Mostly freesailing in and around Hawaii, as well as a few travel stories. I
know that most pro windsurfers would kill to have an opportunity like that.”Gaastra is delighted to get Jason on board. He will be a fantastic
ambassador for the brand. Jason¹s¹ Hawaiian roots and purist wave image will
add a fresh, and exciting extension to Gaastra’s media and he will be
instrumental in our wave sail development and media campaign in 2001.ENDS

eftersom jag kör Neil Pryde för tillfället har jag inte så stor koll på gaastra, men dom verkar grymma, många här bland konfsurfarna som kör Gaastra?
