KITE SHOW 2003 – International Kiteboarding Beach
Hi Guys,
I always was sad by the fact that we daily communicate via the kiteforum.com or other forums, but may never meet in real to rip together.
During my last stay in Egypt an idea came up and I realized that this will be the chance to meet a lot of people from this forum. This way the ”Kite Show” was born….KITE SHOW 2003
International Kiteboarding Beach Testival
El Gouna (Hurgada), Red Sea, Egypt.
March 28th to April 6th. 2003This is your chance to test the latest gear for 2003 yourself, before the season in your country starts again.
Many companies will be joining with test gear and infos.
A whole beach (with a large shallow area) belongs to kiteboarding during that time, where we ride, test, party (music at the beach!), talk and have lots of fun!!!In the evening we continue the party at the Palladium, the local night club.
El Gouna is an area, where lots of nice hotels are located.
We will get good room rates for you, details will follow. The great part of this location is, that it is not expensive to get there, we have warm temperatures (water and air), sun, wind (not too strong – up to 6 Bft) and the room rates are fair.
We still have a lot of work to do, including building up a website with all infos you need. We will keep you updated.
Looking forward to have a great event with international riders!!!
Cheers

You can get lunch at the beach or in any restaurants around at normal prices.
For dinner we have a special for Kite Show participants:
Dine around
Each person can buy a voucher for 10 USD per day that gives them the option to choose from 5 of the restaurants in the Abu Tig Marina. Some of them will have a set menu and some of them will be a la carte. Here the restaurants:
Spagheteria “Del Porto”
Newly opened this restaurant is the place to be for Italian food specialties. Pizzas, Pastas, fish specialties, and mouthwatering desert such as the traditional tiramisu.
You have to try it! Open daily for lunch and diner.Le Deauville – French Cuisine
The moment you arrive at Le Deauville you fell transported to a small village in France. “La Carte” is a blackboard where the chef hand writes the evening selections, punctuated with his sincerely meant “Bon Appetit”. The chink of glasses, the chime of forks and knives and the gentle hum of conversation provide ambiance, while the outside seating is the perfect setting for the summer and autumn.
Ask for Stephane, the French chef, for a special dish if the restaurant is not too crowded.
Open daily for diner.Maison Thomas – Italian
Already a household name in Cairo, Maison Thomas has opened its doors in the Abu Tig Marina. With its signature sandwiches, salads, pizzas and adorable ambiance, Maison Thomas is a great place to stop in for a quick and satisfying meal. Don’t have much time? Maison Thomas delivers right to your home. There are no excuses not to check out the great variety of culinary creations that have quickly made Thomas’ one of the hottest spots in town.
The 7th Star Café – Bakery & Tea
A place to indulge in a wide selection of some of your favorite carbohydrates… Breads and Pasteries. It is conservative to recommend only the French baguette, which has become very popular for Gounies and visiting Cairenes. For the 7th Star’s specialty pastries try the Foccacia, Croissant, Danish, Brioche and more. All are equally worth raving about.
Steak House
El Gouna has newly opened the first Steak House located on the promenade of the Abu Tig marina with a romantic setting overlooking the marina and the sea. American style served meat dishes with classical high standard service.Open daily for diner
