Maui Windsurfing: Windy Wednesday
Wave heights on Maui dropped somewhat today and wind kicked it up another notch or two. Logo to mast-high and still some meaty monsters at Uppers as you can see in the photos. A bit sketchy and bumpy at Uppers with the amazing disappearing or double-up wave phenomenon that happens there sometimes, but some occasional fun rides in the mix as well.
Wind looks promising for the next week or more. As for waves, surf along north facing shores will be 9 to 12 feet lowering to 4 to 8 feet Thursday. Then we should get a new WNW swell on Friday and Saturday and should clock around to a better more northerly direction after that. Good time to be on Maui as windsurfer right now.
