Här är några rader som jag skrev för ett tag se’n på http://www.epinions.com (tyvärr på engelska, men det får la gå):
I’ve been windsurfing for a while now. Owned several boards ranging from full on race-worthy slalom missiles to slashy, turny waveboards. However, a lack of substantial fundings made me go into a compromise board. Something that could do a bit of everything. That wasn’t too expensive, either. So I bought myself the 97 edition of the Bee 274 (the cheaper, slightly heavier red one).
And yes, I am a very pleased customer. Apart from the boards weight, this is a board I can fully recommend for most sailors out there looking for a medium-sized freeride machine.
I’ve sailed it with a 7.0 Gaastra Race sail (the last model before the ”quick-tips”), a 6.7 Supersonic (my current sail), 5.5, 4.7 and 4.2 Gaastra Heatwaves. And it has handled it all quite well. The only time it let my down was in well powered-up 4.2 weather (with the wind gusting well over 40 knots…) but somehow I can excuse my Bee for that.
This board has been on lakes, open ocean and even in some head-high waves (which it didn’t handle as a dedicated wave-board, but surprisingly well) and performed nicely in all these water-states.
This board is now going into the hands of my eager brother. Since my fundings have improved during the last year, I’m getting myself two boards – a slightly larger one and a dedicated wave-board or reaflly small Bump ´n Jump missile. The Bee can do a lot, but two boards are never the less better…
FYI – I’m 190 cm tall and weigh 75 kgs
Min Bee höll väldigt bra, i alla fall.
Lycka till å Surfa På!
