A 135 liter board is the same bouyancy for 200lb person as a
    101 liter board for a 150lb person. 135/200 = 0.675 = 101/150.

By this measure, the 135lb guy doesn’t seem so unusual on a 8’6″ in light
    wind. Probably 85L/135lb = 0.63!

Here’s my impression of board stability vs. volumn/sailor weight. I’ve used
ease of tacking as a measure of comfort level, because it’s a maneuver
where bouyancy is usually pretty noticeable.

0.8 L/lb = very stable , hard to sink the nose on tacks.
0.7 L/lb = pretty stable, unlikely to sink the nose on tacks
0.6 L/lb = marginally stable, nose sinks if your not pretty quick around the mast
0.5 L/lb = roughly neutral bouyancy with a rig, very easy to sink nose on tacks
0.4 L/lb = sinker, submarine tacks, and waterstart tacks, unless you are way-expert
