Hi all,

I am brand new to kite surfing and decided to check up on insurance coverage before I got too involved with the sport (which, btw, is fantastic 🙂 ), and sure enough, Vesta (which I got through Nordea) does not cover death and/or injuries caused by kitesurfing.

They do, however, cover equipment and damage (5mill. SEK) caused by the use of the equipment, as well as injuries to others, since I have the ”småbåt” option of my standard ”hem försäkring”.

Like TomW, I don’t really care about the equipment – worst case is I’ll have to pony up ~10K for a new kite, or stop surfing. I do, however, care about head and spine injuries, not to mention death (I have a wife and daughter that somewhat depend on me)…

Anyone have a good recomendation for a kite-friendly insurance that will cover, at least, serious injuries (I’d like teeth etc. to be covered also, but that’s a minor moan)…
