I actually think you have the best HD on the market for the job right now.. but the next in line options after that are probably….
– Countour HD (it has less of a fisheye effect, still fixed lens though)
– Pretty much anything in a home made water house
The problem with the other “waterproof” solutions out there where the camera itself has seals, seems to be that as soon as you start to abuse the camera with waves crashing over it etc… then it drops its seals and commits suicide.
If you hit mediamarkt you can go open some flaps and see how flimsy they are : ( If you can pretty much keep it dry and only use the waterproofing as a backup for “oh shit I dropped it” instead of something you rely on, then I would say that the Lumix that Mjers and Wakeniels bought would be the best with massive wideangle to a decent zoom
