hey dude.. its a toughie.. and the thing is, although last summer was not bad for wind, normally its really shit.. so we all end up getting a bigger kite later in the year. The question is, do you really wanna do that? and go with that gut feeling.
If you ride flatwater, maybe the bigger kite isnt such a bad idea, but if you are into waves a smaller faster kite might be more important (remember if there are waves, there is wind)
All my experiences with the best kites are that they are pretty fast, so what you lack in size, you can make up in technique : )
thats what I always tell myself hehe.. but there is proof… here is a photo of me alone on the water ripping with a 12 cult and I weigh a whole bunch more than most folks…
