The owner has come back to us and is definitely not prepared to budge on his rental of R30,000 for Dec & Jan and R25,000 for February. All services, i.e. water, electricty, telephone and ADSL connection are for the tenants account. He will provide the pool and garden service.
The house is approximately 370m2 plus the garages are another 80m2.
The house has a very nice layout for a crowd of people – it sleeps 12. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom downstairs.
The attached flatlet has 2 bedrooms, one bathroom plus kitchen.
It has 3 living areas, which is also very nice for a crowd of people and is approxiamtely 1 block +- 100m from the beach.I can tell you honestly that I have been to see a lot of houses and none compare to the accommodation that this house has to offer. The flatlet has its own entrance through the garage and faces onto the pool. This could be used by your friends as a complete seperate unit – if the owner rented this seperately he would rent it for R8000 per month.
I do understand that you want a fair deal, but I say at this stage all the smaller properties with 3/4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms range from R18,000 – R23000 per month and do not compare to this property.
