look guys, the only way to get around this is to admit that there a chance we effect the wildlife, although perhaps no less than other beach users – learn how to minimize those effects, and promote some sort of mutual respect between our two groups. Common ground will be much easier to find thereafter.

I agree with this completely, noone has the right to go around destroying other species habitats. I dont mind temporary bans at all, in fact I support them.
I do hate when others try to portray us of being more harmfull to the enviroment than people walking on the land among nesting areas, with or without dogs, or as equally harmfull as motorsports
