hahaha in my younger days I was part of a group of people that used to do our best to keep these guys busy and away from the general stupid public. We were well organized and had everything from general correspondance guys to hardcore crackers that would attack their machines.
Generally these guys are not to be screwed with, and it is not unheard of that these scammers go after people trying to screw around with them in a manner no less than ”well armed”.
Anyway, one of the most famous of us set up a webpage, we would ask the ”sender” of the email (normally it wasnt them that wrote it.. as their english sucked) and asked them to perform tasks as a mutual show of trust… one of the things we got them to do was to take a picture of themself holding a sign or something… you can see a few of them here…

have a laugh, and remember if you are gonna start screwing with them, do everything you can to hide your identity, set up another email account, and send mails through a proxy server at the very least.
