I dunno, I think its the moving towards the next step of kiteboarding.. We have all done the big air and wakestyle.. I think that the move into more technical riding is on its way, and I think skimboards offer that oppertunity.. I wouldnt be surprised if more and more people started to ride wakeskate and skim this year actually.

Cheap skimboards are on EBAY.DE all the time.. same shape as the shinn one.. just without fins… lightwind boards are not something you should take seriously.. dont spend a fortune on them.

I am 94 and rode my 12 Beast last year basically in the summer.. You will be fine mate.. once you start kiting it will drop off again.
