I agree with you in the sense that generally kite manufacturers charge huge markups on their equipment, but as long as the sport is new and the market exclusive, they will continue to do so, and why not, they are in it for the money.
As for Hugo selling his kites for less than he buys them, well thats just idiotic to say hehe – of course he doesnt, but he doesnt choose to rip off people like other brands do. Hugo has to meet most of the people that he sells EH gear to and although it has been said to him many times, HE IS TOO NICE!
He is also bound to the fact that EH dont go for the bling bling image. Its not for everyone, clearly, I will be the first to admit that its nice to have a cool looking bar…. But it does provide a sense of honesty and trust.
It would be stupid of me to believe that many dont have an agenda when it comes to selling stuff, of course they do, no one is in it for the fun, but there are those that are in it for the lifestyle, not many, but they still exist.
Choose whatever you like, but dont slant Hugo, he is a decent bloke and has gone further out of his pocket than most to make the sport accessible to many.

I dunno why you guys are all crying about EH.. lets face it you get alot for the money, they are fantastic kites that outperform a lot of other brands that cost more.
Dont go winging because you spend 14 thousand on a kite, and it turned out to just be a kite.
At the end of the day the people that have more fun for less money are the ones that benifit.

I fixed a rip in latex using Vulcanizing glue with a cycle repair kit and stuck a couple of cycle patches on it.
