Vad det gäller nivån så är den nog några cm högre, men framför allt så har dom kört med väghyvel på lovart sidan, samma som de gjorde v 3-4 2013 -
vallarna är inte högre i år än 2013 eller 2014, problemet i år är vattennivån som är ca 30 lägre än 2013. Det innebär att det nästa är 1 meter upp till lovart kanten. Inget problem för kajtare, men tar mycket av kraften för vindsurfare.. Dock har dom grävt den 3 dm djupare än tidigare,

Vad jag vet så åker inte macke i år. Och här Weymouth så har vi mycket kontakt med Luderitz.
Det kom nån slags storm för 3-4 veckor sedan och slutänden på kanalen blev förstörd.
Dom räknande med att den ska lagas till ungefär nu. Sedan fyllas med vatten igen. Det tar tid eftersom pumpen är en vanlig hobby-grej. Gissar att den kan fylla upp 5 mm per dygn. Vilket i praktiken innebär att den kanske blir halvfull om 3-4 veckor.
Kajtarna kan köra men inte bra för vindsurfare. Har hört att många på plats vill ha pengarna tillbaka för de första 2 veckorna (2400 EUR per gubbe) …
Så viss disharmoni är det just nu…
Men så finns det ju hårdingar som Patrick på plats, så åka av blir det ju ändå.

När det gäller var vi kör så är det på lördagen 2 områden med 3 olika varianter av segelriktningar som är aktuella. Vid svagare vindar i sydväst så brukar C vara att föredra. Men det får vi hålla öppet tills skepparmötet imorgon kl 9.00.

SM är till skillnad från KoF inte en tävlings om körs på vindprognos, utan för att få SSF sanktion så krävs fasta datum, inget som kan kan utlysa närsomhelst under hösten. Det är en process som ligger bakom detta arrangemang som jag fixat i år själv… en ny erfarenhet!
Räknar med 7-12 m/s och uppklarnande med sol på eftermiddagen. Viss hopp om sjöbriseffekt på eftermiddagen om det blir helt klart.
Sydväst-vind ger en ok grundvind (till skillnad mot alla ostliga vindar vi haft senaste månaden).
Med många års erfarenhet av speed och TT så vet jag med säkerhet att man inte kan lita på prognoser helt, KoF formatet tex, när det lovas på förmiddagen och inget på kvällen kan mycket väl fall ut tvärtom som senast. På lördag så planerar vi för 2 långa heat. 5×10 sek. Vi får se om eftermiddagsheatet blir snabbast.

Kan nämna att detta är sista tävlingen jag kommer vara involverad i som resultat-gubbe. Och om det blir vind på lördag är jag inte på plats då bla lillebrors 40-årsdag skall firas. Så eventuella resultat kommer kanske först på söndagen.

Stort TACK för allt engagemang i alla år, i små stugor, husvagnar och bilsäten. Utan dig och Gustav så hade vi väl haft ungefär samma speedcup som typ Norge. (ingen).
Vad det gäller SM så är det det på. Samling registering 8.00 skepparmöte 9.00 och första start kan bli tidigast 9,20 på lördag.

Har för mig att det finns någon slags “flytväst” som man kan sätta på nosen för att nybörjare ska kunna dra rigg.
I övrigt så håller jag med Macke. Men kan förstå att det kan vara klurigt att dra upp ett 9,5 på en bräda med samma liter som du väger. Enklare att vänta några minuter på nästa vindby och vattenstarta tycker jag.
