Jag hoppar in i tråden då jag också är på G att köpa en första SUP, eller rättare sagt två likadana tänker vi.
För vår del så är vi två vuxna och två barn. Jag kvalar väl in på 90 pannor, och lättast är väl vår 6-åring.
Vi har hyrt SUP ett par gånger, och älskar att tillbringa tid i havet. Efter att ha flyttat nära havet så tänkte vi att ett par SUP brädor och några våtdräkter vore ju ett trevligt sätt att använda sig utav vattnet på.
Då vi egentligen inte har några speciella krav på brädorna, och tänkt köpa 2, så tittar jag en del på priset. Uppblåsbart ska det vara för oss iaf. Priset är som sagt en faktor, men jag vill absolut inte köpa några “leksaker” som man tröttnar på andra gången, måste ju vara stabilt och bra, och gärna hålla ett antal år.
Där verkar ju just nämnda Gong vara ett väldigt prisvärt alternativ ju, eller finns det andra märken med samma pris/kvalitet förhållande? Har sett att Aqua Marina säljs på många ställen, hur är dom i kvalitet jämfört med Gong?
Och stora frågan är ju just annars vad som skiljer mellan den dyrare Gong Couine Marie och billigare Gong Chip i praktiken? Jag mailade Gong och frågade, och fick följande svar, men förstod inte riktigt vad han menade med “thermo welded”?
The difference is not in construction or quality, they are both really well made, but it comes from the fact that the Couine Marie is thermo welded and the Chip is not. One is more expensive to do than the other. Also the CM is our Deluxe model, she comes with a lot of extra accessories like more carry handles (which comes in handy when you have a lot of picnic or beach gear, you can put it all on the board and share the load with someone) and bungee tie down cords.
They are both very sturdy and rigid, the Chip is just made for people who may have lower budgets due to family constraints or who may not have the money to invest in their passion.
So really it will depend on you and what you really want and can see as feasible with your budget. But I must tell you know, we are having a special that is going on that if you buy 2 Couine Maries we offer the Leashes and Paddles to get started right. That is saving you some serious money right there, then all you would need is a couple Kids Paddles for the gross to get started.
Couine Marie kostar ganska exakt dubbelt mot Chip.
Och vad gäller paddel så känns väl en alu helt ok antar jag? Eller blir en carbon t.ex. mycket lättare och trevligare? Flyter båda förresten om man tappar dom i vattnet?
