ahh dude, that really really sucks man, you are doing the right thing by accepting that its probably gone, hope the insurance company make it easy for you because it was locked up in a garage.. Bummer man, just when it was getting warmer to go out and ride as well, I know a guy selling a whole bunch of imported r1’s I will keep my ear to the ground.

Its also important to remember that before pulling out a manuscript of swedish consument laws, they only apply if you bought something in sweden. Everyone knows that buying stuff abroad on the net is cheaper, and that it comes with its own inherant service and warranty issues. (ie the need to post it back to where you bought it from)

I would keep trying to contact them, but you have your bank statements proving you have paid twice if you cant hang on any longer and need to pull it out.. Sourra is pretty good with the konsumentlaws though, and I am guessing he will pull up some facts for you shortly : )

I think we have the birdwatchers all wrong guys… the last few sessions I have had sitting on the beach while waiting for wind, I have approached some birdwatchers and just asked them about what sort of birds we have, why they are specific to certain beaches etc, etc.. I have always been totally open with them and said I am kiteboarder, but none of us are interested in destroying wildlife or putting people in danger, and it would be nice if we all had a better understanding as to why we cannot be in areas during certain periods of the year etc…
The last dude I talked to was a university lecturer from kristianstad, and he laughed and said we dont need to stress, because they have done heaps of investigations into the effects of windmills etc and they dont seem to have a huge impact on the enviroment.
What I think is happening here, is exactly how we see it.. if they want to take a spot from us, we get defensive… and its the same for them.. if they see that we are taking wildlife from its natural habitat, even for only a week during their migration pattern, they get defensive.. I mean its the only week they get to see these birds or whatever for the whole year.

well funny this… because nick is in Oz just now and his flexifoil board broke.. a common problem, he called rob, and was told he would get a replacement when he got home but he had to buy a new one in Australia – so he did…. it had exactly the same failure when it broke 2 weeks later…
funny shit that…He still hasnt had a replacement board from any Oz supplier he has to wait until he gets back..
If only your sponsors shared your views man… ? Buy at home, support your local dealer, and enjoy the customer service for the 50 weeks of the year you are at home. If you bought it abroad to save some bucks, well send it back to where you got it with the recipt that you bought it from them and there wont be a problem.

dude there are not many people on the beach that I havent hugged, given free gear to or gone out of my way to make sure they have an awesome day on the beach. That speaks larger volumes than making an ass out of myself on our local forum for some fun.
I think you are missing the whole point of steffo, without the joking between Naish, Ozone and Cabrinha – it would be a boring, anal read, talking about AR’s and how to hold a wind meter on the beach.
The real criminals are those that dont keep the forum alive by adding drama, events, or money to help run the servers, they come in here and post shit about their new products and dissapear, I believe your sponsor is one of those (Rob knows there is no hard feelings here)
