well if both are travelling horizontally.. and both have been fired/released from the same height then mathematically they should both travel the same distance.. but… in the real world.. the air around the train will probably be more dense slowing the bullet faster, in addition to the fact that a bullet shot from a ”rifled” barrel (the barrel makes the bullet spin) will fly more than a bullet that is likely to ”tumble” (ass over head), meaning that the bullet shot from the rifle will fly further.

it is true though, single layer neoprene cant take as much of a beating, although it is warmer out of the water. I am sure there isnt a wetsuit manufacturer on the planet that wishes they could bend the laws of physics for ya dude.
