thanks for the benifit of the doubt jens : ) my initial comments were a long way from brandbashing like it was interpreted by your guard-dog, and I really didnt like that yannboi-the-fanboy up there got all personal, so I had a bit of fun retaliating : ) steffo style.
just a note though, a 5 line kite can indeed jellyfish because as the tips move apart, the middle of the kite moves towards the rider, and a 5th line only stops the center of the kite from moving away from the rider. Even if you dont want to admit that does happen, admit that simple geometry suggests this is what would happen. Making a bigger leading edge would solve that problem though ; ), maybe why it was suggested?
Everyone jumps on any criticism in here saying that its brand bashing, but please Yann-bannan, find a single post from me saying anything like ”my gear is fucking perfect, its so much fucking better than all that other shit out there”
Just on the weekend I was talking to some guys on the beach about the problems I had with a kite I myself helped design and name, say what you like about me but I dont think you get more honest than that, and as far as I am concerned, it gives me more than the right and credibility to voice my opinion on flaws elsewhere, even if it is from other brands and gear that is years old.

Chill out man… it was a 5 line kite, and it was jellyfishing. End of story.. it wasnt badly pumped and it happened, and as for the kite fluttering in hard loops… well that is just a lie.. it fluttered almost every time it flew across the window.. we all know the sound : )
besides, I have heard more than one person say (back then) that it was the worst kite they had ever ridden (from people that were riding other brands mind you) .. but read my posts.. I said he should save up and get the newer kite, because it was much better.. not to avoid the brand because the older kite wasnt as good..

the stability issue of which I speak is the jellyfishing.. and you know it : ), it was bad for me on both occasions I flew, but in all fairness one of the days was nasty big wind, nothing is going to be perfect but back then (2008) I expected kites to be able to handle that type of stuff, especially small ones.
Like I said though, they fixed it. and we all know that it wasnt your fault man.. there was nothing personal there… so you dont need to be all angry with yourself and then vent on me : ) you just need a hug,
(things are confusing when you become a brandwhore, I understand dude… I used to be one). 😛
Ozone does have a really awesome anti invert system that works really fucking well though.. I dont know how it works, because it looks like a thong.. but it works.. and they have never had the cred they deserve for letting people design the look of their own kite. Every brand should do this.

Yann… honestly mate.. yours didnt jellyfish?, mine did.. believe me I rode it, once on a bitchin big wind day, and again in a mellow, strapless session, same thing… dont stress mate, its not your fault : )
I know how it is to be a brand whore.. I have been there.. so I will do this for you… 😛
I did say that they fixed the problem for 09 and their anti invert thing really does work very well… and for some extra surferlove thrown in.. they totally dont get as much cred as they should for their custom graphics there are not many kite brands out there that ask what colors you really want your kite to be.

all the locals are boosting them… it looks pretty simple…
take a bigger kite than you should,
boost big air,
pull om bar like you gonna die,
spot landing and realize you probably gonna die,
crash board first and hope you pull off a landing and dont die.probably one of the reasons why the locals hurt themselves more than the rest of us!.. they do make it look too easy though dont they..

I think its worth mentioning that the 09 ozones were much better than the 08 ones, they got a whole bunch of stability problems sorted out. Maybe something to think about..
save up the extra caash : )
