Its that time of year when contracts run out and sailors are on the market. Here at Boardseeker we keep our ears to the ground, on the look out for something interesting and we have a couple of possible juicy changes for you.
First up is the original big man himself, Bjorn Dunkerbeck. After a few years with North Sails we hear that there may be a change on the cards. Where he will go we don’t know. There are not too many options for a man of his status, but with the recent mid season sponsor swap to Starboard, a move to Severne could be the obvious one?
Next up is the new school big man, Antoine Albeau. Having dominated racing for the last 4 years he is obviously hot property, and on the sponsorship market we guess he could pretty much write his own cheques. Well with Starboard signing Bjorn plus keeping hold of Kev Pritchard, they would need a pretty big cheque book to hold onto Antoine as well. So the rumour is of change for the french man. Again no real idea where, but with the NeilPryde connection you can expect JP to be high on the list.
Obviously big changes wont get announced until the deals are fully sealed, but we let you know when we hear more. Could be an interesting season on the race circuit.
