ok everyone is saying use the tubes from a pushbike.. but if you are going to do that, use moped ones instead, they are much nicer and dont break at the screws…

I normally have my straps pretty tight, also its important to twist your foot a little so that the straps grip a little more on the foot. The boots should help though, notmally the soles give a little more grip on the pad, especially on a board with just wax on it.

Mystic have reef shoes that are not really deigned to keep you warm, but have a hard sole so you dont get anything in your foot, otherwise, they have some kick ass boots… I am pretty sure everyone down here that uses them does not complain of cold feet or the sensation that they are wearing huge thick moonboots.
