Maybe I was rigged wrong but as soon as tried to close the gap it spun out, perhaps in the lighter winds and flat water I was just asking too much from the Duo Weed.

Well, Kapten K, aka Glenn, has helped me loads to repair the damage, Carbon on, just finishing it of with some spackle..and then the spray..will post some picks when it is done…

Would you remove all the damaged carbon and fill it out so it was flat again and then put new carbon on or would you just fill it with plastic metal epoxy, which just happenes to be the same colour as the board ?

Heading off to Klagshamn to see what it is like to sail in -2 degrees, definatley a sucker for something !

A web search revealed three different independent tests where all the testers said that if they could choose, without considering cost or maintenance, they would always sail with it. They also reported speed increases. Am I just a sucker for marketing?:confused2:

Yes, about the masts, Gaastra recomend their SDM 75 430 and 460 for the first 4 sails, for the 8,5 they say 460/490, my idea was to just use an extension for the 32cm on the 460 mast, that way I only need two masts, my AL360 Carbon Boom covers all the sails. Some good advice here from everyone, I have a lot of free time so it often happens that I am on the water for 5-6 hours a day, even this winter I have been out for many 4 hour sessions, without a break. As far as what sail I will use on what board is concerned I have not really enough experience to tell , I will just have to try, I haven’t even got the 80 yet, my wife is giving me that for my birthday ”I Think”, God bless her ! I think I will get the the 7,8 and the 8,5 and just be poorer for it!

I am at work in the North Sea on a drilling rig until Tuesday ! We just had a hurricane out here, 80knots and 21 meter swells, batten down the hatches and hold on boys! The rigg was moving up and down, we call it heave, 12 meters! 6 degrees roll and pitch. Our Hull is nearly 40 years old so it not the first storm shes seen..
