on the LE there are normally 2 seams. One that closes the LE and then another that folds the left over stuff and holds it down.. taking the pressure off the seam closest to the bladder.
If you dont pump the kite hard enough, the repeated folding of the LE at the edge of the window results in the threads holding the flap work themselves loose, either breaking the thread or tearing the holes that they make in the material..and then dont support the inner thread (the real strength comes from the fold being held over).
its especially a problem just where the panels on the LE join.. everyone should check theirs bafore they go out.. we resew them for a couple of hundred sek.. instead of the thousands it can cost afterwards.

well respect to skof for noting that we respect the rules. I have to say it feels nice that the good stuff we do does not go unnoticed. There is definately room for dialogue there, perhaps with understanding we can surf in other areas at times of the year it is not seen as a problem?

I can hejlp ya out fix it no problem if you are down in skåneland.. I have seen a lot of these.. its caused by not pumping the kite hard enough, taking it out in light wind and it folds over at the edge of the window trying to get out of the water..
the thread is wet and gets weak with the folding action and eventually fails..
