Yann, sorry mate, but you are miles off man.. how can a kite suit be worse for kiting than a waveriding suit`? they are not designed with anything in common.. the materials used in the mystic winter wetsuits for example are not only simple ”single layer neoprene” (I will come back to single vs double layer in a sec) they have all sorts of funky heat reflective components in them for example – and water moves through a kite wetsuit in a completely different way than it does in a normal waveriding suit..

Waterflow is managed so that if goes in the back of your neck when you put the board on and is either flushed out a discharge hole in the bottom of the zip or from the flush holes at the bottom of the legs above the velcro -that stops cold water getting forced up while riding – anyone that has ridden without a strap at the bottom of the leg has experienced this.

Using Double neoprene in the winter is stupid, STUPID… it holds water on the outside of the suit and when you are standing up in the wind, you get cold.. if you want one for the summer when you are doing all your tricks and dont want to scratch the outside fair enough. Thicker neoprene is also not always warmer especially double layer.. shit I saw a pretty beefy wetsuit in netto with heavy duty zips around the ballsack but I can bet for sure that my 3mm suit is warmer and more functional.

I dont feel like it was worth going on and on, but I would be happy to pull up pages of facts if needed.
